Dinerman Scholarship Award

The Gloria Dinerman Scholarship program provides an annual award to one of the metropolitan New York City’s library and information science programs.

The New York Library Club has been promoting the interests of the library and related professions for over 100 years.

Member donations given each year help to sustain this program. Your help is always needed to ensure that the club can continue this tradition. Please consider including a donation with your membership renewal. You can also make a donation at any club event.

Caroline Donadio of the Long Island University Palmer School of Library & Information Science received the $1500 Gloria Dinerman Scholarship at the New York Library Club’s annual holiday event at the Charlie Palmer restaurant within the at the Knickerbocker Hotel, December 1, 2015.

2012 Gloria Dinerman Scholarship Award Recipient
Lisa Marie Olszewski, Rutgers University Department of Library and Information Science (SC&I) accepted the New York Library Club’s second Gloria Dinerman Scholarship award from President Larry Kroah on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the East of Eight Restaurant.

2010 Gloria Dinerman Scholarship Award Recipient
Amy Sarola, a graduate student at the Library and Information Science Division of St. John’s University, accepts the New York Library Club’s first Gloria Dinerman Scholarship award from President Larry Kroah on December 7, 2010 at the our Holiday Social at Les Sans Culottes Restaurant.  The Club’s annual scholarship was renamed for Gloria Dinerman, who passed away this summer, to honor her many contributions as President and as a long-time member of the Board.
