Membership

Anyone with an interest in libraries, library scholarship and education, the book trade, publishing, preservation, or information analysis and management is welcome to join the New York Library Club.

Among our current members are law librarians, school media specialists, museum librarians, public and academic librarians, corporate analysts, publishers, book dealers, book binders, conservationists, career consultants, system managers, professors, students, and information entrepreneurs.

Retirees and library science students may join and renew memberships at reduced rates. All first-time members join at a reduced rate, then renew according to the standard renewal fee.

Our annual Fall Reception is open to anyone. You don't need to be a member to attend, and the event is free, so it's a great time to get to know us!

Attendance at other events requires membership. As an alternative, guests may attend with club members and pay a special guest rate.
